Located in the gated Walnut Mountain community, this cabin offers a peaceful mountain escape with added privacy and security. The neighborhood is known for its quiet, wooded setting and access to community amenities like a pool, tennis courts, walking trails, a small lake, and even a charming small waterfall tucked within the community. You’ll feel surrounded by nature, yet you’re just a short drive to downtown Ellijay where you’ll find local restaurants, shops, wineries, and seasonal apple orchards. Whether you’re here to relax, explore, or enjoy the mountain air, this location gives you the perfect mix of seclusion and convenience.
Guest Access
Guest access Walnut Mountain is a gated community. The best access to the property is through gate 2, which GPS navigation should take you directly to. An access code for the gate will be provided 48 hrs prior to check in. Once at the property, there will be a gate key for you to use for the duration of your stay. The property provides parking space for 5-6 vehicles. Please note that there is level parking for 2 vehicles in the main section of the driveway. The lower portion of the driveway has room for an additional 3-4 vehicles, but due to the steeper grade of this section of driveway it is recommended that this area be reserved for 4-wheel drive vehicles in case of slick weather conditions. Other things to note Guests also have access to all the community amenities. These include an outdoor community swimming pool (open Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend), playground, tennis courts, a basketball court and a picnic area. Bring your canoe, kayak, and/or fishing poles to take advantage of the 4 private lakes in the community that are home to bass, catfish, and brim! The largest of these lakes is only 200 yards from the cabin! Last, but not least, enjoy a nature walk on one of the many hiking trails, including a waterfall hike.
